Go-digital is a funding program of the German government that supports companies in the development and introduction of digital business models or the digitalization of processes.
The "go-digital" funding program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. Within the framework of go-digital, Granny&Smith offers the module "Digitalization of Business Processes" as well as the module "Digital Market Development".
This also includes IT services for setting up home offices, which can be officially applied for and approved within the said module. This includes above all the setup and implementation of digital processes as well as associated hardware and software. However, mere investment into standard hardware and software is not grantable.
Introduction of digital business models, e-business software solutions for overall and partial processes, including e.g. the establishment of home offices, logistics, warehousing, payment systems.
Goal: Digitization of workflows in the company where possible, establishment of secure electronic and mobile processes.
Development of a company specific online- marketing strategy, establishment of a professional, legally compliant Internet presence (including web store, social media tools, content marketing).
Goal: Consulting on multiple aspects of professional online marketing and implementation of recommended services.
Of course, a few conditions must be met by the company submitting the application (excerpt):
Annual turnover or balance sheet total not exceeding 20 million euros in the year preceding the conclusion of the contract
Eligibility according to the de-minimis rule: if you have not been granted any large subsidies recently.

Usually between 8 and 9 weeks. However, companies do not have to wait for their grant notification, but can immediately submit an application on the online portal – with the help of a certified go-digital consultant as e.g. Granny&Smith. After a quick review and confirmation, the funded process can start immediately. With this accelerated procedure, SMEs are able to react fast and agilely while implementing their projects.
Up to 50% of the consulting fees charged by an authorized consultancy firm such as Granny&Smith are grantable. The maximum project volume is €33,000, 50% of which are taken over by the state, i.e. €16,500 .
