how to deal with trouble makers in a workshop
the problem about trouble makers is that they do everything
to crash your process...
whether it's not missing any opportunity for endless discussions...
whether it's distracting others and thereby disturbing the workflow...
whether it's finding one million excuses why something can't work
but how should you deal with them?
simply ignore them?
bad idea.
they won't stop making trouble like that.
they won't stop sucking energy out of your team.
ask them questions like can you specify your problem?
ask them questions like what would you do to solve it?
ask them questions like what do you need to solve it?
ask them questions like what will happen if we don't do this project?
offer them to talk at a later time in person.
ask: what is it you are scared of?
ask: what would help you contribute more easily?
all that doesn't help?
asking them to leave is the only way them.
the most important thing though:
don't let trouble makers take over.
