can i have a pet?
there's hardly any parent...
who never hears that question...
from their kids...
wherever you go.
even in japan.
and everybody knows how challenging pets can be.
luckily, in 1996 there was a solution.
aki maita from bandai invented the tamagotchi.
together with akihiro yokoi...
she won the nobel prize for economics...
for her innovation.
what had she done?
her innovations solved the problems of...
parents and children at the same time...
and in many respects.
e.g. even in the smallest space, it was possible...
to keep a pet.
but there were also drawbacks.
that's another story though.
the point is: innovation is about...
providing the best answer to...
the needs of your target audience.
