what is innovative about three stripes?
nothing. sure?
the three stripes are...
probably the most important asset of the brand.
and that's not just because of the logo.
the two stripes which were there...
before the brothers fell apart...
helped to give additional stability to the midfoot.
so they were not just there for decoration.
it was for copyright reasons...
that a third stripe has to be added...
which was easier said than done.
but that's another story.
this is just an interesting example...
which shows that there's more innovation...
than meets the eye.
